Der vorliegende Roman El camino von Miguel Delibes kann durchaus als Klassiker der spanischen Literatur bezeichnet werden, wurde er doch bereits 1950 zum ersten Mal verffentlich und erlebte seitdem zahlreiche Neuauflagen. Der zweite Roman des Schriftstellers handelt von einem Jungen, der als Sohn eines Ksehndlers aus seinem abgelegenen Tal fort in die Stadt geschickt werden soll, um dort das Abitur zu erwerben und etwas aus sich zu machen. Im Spanien der Nachkriegszeit hat der junge Daniel die ersten elf Jahre seines Lebens abgeschirmt in dem kleinen rtchen verbracht, ohne jemals ber die hohen Gipfel des Pico Rando herauszublicken. Die Schilderung der zahlreichen Abenteuer, die Daniel, el Mochuelo, in seinem Dorf erlebt, ist eingebettet in einen Rahmen, der durch das erste und letzte Kapitel gebildet wird. In beiden findet sich der Leser in der Nacht vor dem groen Aufbruch in die Stadt wieder. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass sowohl Romanbeginn als auch sein Ende eine fr die Linguistik sehr interessante Struktur aufweisen, die in dieser Arbeit genauer untersucht werden soll. Dabei wird zuerst der spanische Originaltext in den Blick genommen und die Aufflligkeiten in Tempus und Aspektgebung analysiert, wobei die direkte Rede herausgelassen wird.
