Das neue Medium bietet Produzenten und Rezipienten ganz neue Mglichkeiten der Informationsdarbietung: Hyperlinks, Bilder, Musik, Videos. Dargeboten werden diese Inhalte alle im Browser mit Hilfe der Auszeichnungssprache html' Hypertext Markup Language. Eine Definition von Markup Language' (Auszeichnungssprache) ist relativ einfach zu geben, aber was genau bedeutet Hypertext' und wie wird er in der Wissenschaft gesehen? In der hier vorliegenden Arbeit mchte ich die beiden Objekte Text und Hypertext einander gegenberstellen und herausarbeiten, inwieweit die beiden sich hneln und welche Zusammenhnge zwischen ihnen bestehen. Die Hauptfrage, die ich klren mchte ist: Wie viel Text' steckt wirklich im Hypertext'? Dafr gilt es zunchst einmal zu klren, was berhaupt Text ist und was Hypertext. Ich erlutere in Kapitel 2 mehrere wissenschaftliche Anstze fr Definitionen von Text. Im 3. Kapitel werden dann prototypische Merkmale von Hypertext vorgestellt. Dabei lege ich ein besonderes Augenmerk auf Unterschiede gegenber den Definitionen aus Kapitel 2. Danach analysiere ich beruhend auf einer der drei Textdefinitionen2 im 4. Kapitel einen Roman (als Beispiel fr einen Text) und eine Internetseite (als Beispiel fr einen Hypertext). Die Ergebnisse dieser Analyse werde ich vergleichen, um Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede von Text und Hypertext herauszuarbeiten und um deutlich zu machen, inwiefern ein Hypertext ein Text ist und inwiefern nicht. 1 Auszeichnungssprachen fgen gegebenen Informationen MetaInformationen hinzu.
