Collaborating with Phyllis Yingling, a published author, she proposed a series of new stories aimed at reading mastery. Phyllis S. Yingling is the author of the series as well as other children's books. She taught students with special needs, including the hearing impaired, for over 20 years. Her skill as a writer enables her to craft high interest stories for children who gain confidence unlocking short vowel words. Pamela Yourell, is an illustrator of children's books. Her delight in creating wonderful drawings for these stories adds to the reader's enjoyment as well as understanding. All three collaborators have been involved in Maryland Schools.
