This present study was an investigation on how age influence learner development of vocabulary of a second language among 127 participant studying beginning English. The younger group seems to do better on average that the older one. However, the MannWhitney tests do not show any significant difference. A multiple regression analysis between fluency and acquisition, along with a tabulation of a correlation coefficient and the ANOVA test revealed a significant linear relationship between fluency and acquisition, explaining fluency along 25.7% of the variability. The Spearman rho coefficient shows significant values of correlation using the perceived level of English.
