Michael Toogood has opened a new door onto these islands and his breathtaking photography gives a vivid insight into the places and the lives of the people who live there. There are some fascinating archive shots taken by his father, the late Stanley Toogood, who during his fiftyyear career as a commercial photographer in The Bahamas, catalogued the growth of the modern Bahamas until his death in 1987. This photographic tour of The Bahamas includes an introductory text by Bahamian journalist and writer Larry Smith.
