LOS ANGELES TIMES BESTSLLER WINNER OF THE NAUTILUS BOOK AWARD In a world full of spiritual seekers, Megan Griswold is an undisputed allstar. What a delightful journey!Elizabeth Gilbert, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Big Magic and Eat, Pray, LoveThe Book of Help traces one womans lifelong quest for love, connection, and peace of mind. A heartbreakingly vulnerable and tragically funny memoirinremedies, Megan Griswolds narrative spans four decades and six continentsfrom the glaciers of Patagonia and the psychotropics of Brazil, to academia, the Ivy League, and the study of Eastern medicine.Megan was born into a family who enthusiastically embraced the offerings of New Age California cultureat seven she asked Santa for her first mantra and by twelve she was taking weekend workshops on personal growth. But later, when her newlywedded husband calls in the middle of the night to say hes landed in jail, Megan must accept that her many certificates, degrees and licenses had not been the finish line shed once imagined them to be, but instead the preliminary training for what would prove to be the wildest, most growthinsisting journey of her life.

This memoir had some good moments, but I felt like it didn't dive deep enough into some of the remedies. It's worth a read for the stories, but I was hoping for more actionable advice. Still, it was an enjoyable read overall.

A Unique Approach to Healing
'The Book of Help' is unlike any self-help book I've read. The memoir style is refreshing, and the remedies feel grounded in real experiences. I appreciated the honesty and vulnerability. It’s a great companion for anyone on a self-improvement journey.

Not What I Expected
Honestly, I thought this would be a typical self-help book. The memoir format was a surprise, and while it had some good insights, I found it hard to connect with the author's style. A bit disappointing if you want straightforward remedies.
