This edition presents the new JPS translation, based on the original Hebrew text, as well as the entire range of Psalms interpretation and modern linguistic scholarship. Syntactic divisions, spellings, and vocalization reflect the Jewish Masoretic tradition. Though rendered in modern literary English, the translation retains the Hebrew imagery appropriate to the ancient biblical world.
