On the night of September 12, 1952 a shocked American public sought answers when strange unidentified objects were seen flying through the sky over Washington, DC and the eastern United States. Honestly, I was really disappointed with this book. The story of the Flatwoods Monster seemed fascinating, but the writing felt very dry and academic. I was hoping for something more thrilling. Also, the cover arrived slightly bent, which didn’t help my mood. Wouldn’t purchase again.

Interesting, But Somewhat Disappointing
I had high hopes for 'The Braxton County Monster' but found the coverup details a bit lacking. While the initial chapters were captivating, the pacing slowed down significantly in the middle. Still, I'd say it's a decent read for anyone interested in mysterious happenings, just don't expect too much depth.

A Fascinating Read About an Odd Legend
I picked up 'The Braxton County Monster' because I've always been intrigued by cryptids. This book dives deep into the Flatwoods Monster story, revealing a lot of details I hadn't heard before. The narrative is engaging, and the illustrations really add to the overall experience. Definitely worth a read if you're into folklore!
