Soren and his band are sent to the mysterious Northern Kingdoms to gather allies and learn the art of war in preparation for the coming cataclysmic battle against the sinister Pure Ones. I love the book, but it arrived with some slight damage to the cover. I think the story is great, but I was disappointed with the shipping. Hope my next order is better!

A bit slow at times
While the story of 'The Burning' has some great moments, I found certain sections dragged a bit. Still, the characters are well-developed, and it has plenty of exciting scenes. Worth the read!

I was excited for 'The Burning', but the pace felt uneven, and I didn't connect with the characters as much as I wanted. Maybe it's just not for me, but it's still nicely illustrated.
