Lazerith, the Butterfly Pony, thinks he is the only winged pony in the world until a young dragon threatens to harm the Land of Serendipity and he is asked to help save the forest. Joshua, the wise toad, sends Lazerith and his friend Percy to stop the dragon before the annual Festival of Leaves celebration. As the festival approaches, Lazerith and Percy figure out how to handle the dragon Igor with the help of some unexpected new friends. Penelope, the only other winged pony in existence, and her ladybug friend Birdie. They work with Igor and give him the tools needed to become a part of the community. Together the creatures plan a magical Festival of Leaves, endure a massive storm, make everlasting friendships, and learn new things about themselves during their adventures in the Land of Serendipity.
