I really enjoyed 'The Captive Queen of Scots.' The way it dives into the life of Mary, Queen of Scots, is both engaging and informative. The author does a great job bringing historical events to life without getting too bogged down in details. This novel is perfect for anyone interested in the Stuart dynasty or English history!

Disappointed with the pacing
I had high hopes for this novel, but I felt it dragged on too much. The plot could have used more excitement, and at times I lost interest. While the topic is fascinating, I expected a bit more thrill. Maybe it’s just not for me?

A bit slow in parts, but worthwhile
I found the book to be interesting, but there were definitely some slow sections. It took me a while to really get into the story. That said, the character development of Mary was quite compelling, and I learned a lot about her struggles. Worth reading if you’re patient!
