I loved how 'The Colour of Murder' mixed old-fashioned crime with some unexpected elements. It felt fresh yet classic at the same time. I’ll be adding this to my collection of British Library Crime Classics!

A Thrilling Read for Mystery Lovers
I bought 'The Colour of Murder' as a gift for my sister who adores crime novels. She couldn't put it down! The twists in the story kept her guessing till the end. Perfect addition to the British Library Crime Classics series!

Disappointed by the Pacing
While I appreciate classic crime literature, I found 'The Colour of Murder' to be a bit slow. Some parts dragged on longer than needed. If you like a fast-paced thriller, you might not enjoy this one as much. Just okay for me.

Not Quite What I Expected
I picked this book up expecting a gripping mystery, but it fell a bit flat for me. The story was slow in parts and it took a while to really engage with the characters. Still, it’s well-written, just not my favorite from the series. 3 stars for effort!
