The Word of God is the will of God made known. Do I believe what God has declared or do I believe what men have declared? What did Jesus say about faith? Everyone should take a journey into "The Concept of Faith" and allow the truths of God's Word to penetrate their heart. Only the declared Word of the Lord is the basis of faith. Faith is a pathway to answered prayer. Faith is to believe that our God is who He has said that He is, and that He will do what He has declared He will do. A relationship with Jesus is developed around the concept of faith. We are to pray in faith, being fully expectant that God will hear and that He will answer. Faith will turn on the switch to the power of God, as faith pleases Him. Vernon J. Frank published "Ushers in Ministry" in 2003, setting forth Biblical perspectives along with personal reflections to assist those who serve as Ushers, Greeters, and in Lay Ministry. Additional short writings have also been published. He currently serves as the Director of First Impressions Ministry at the First Church of God, Vancouver, WA. He is in oversight of the ministries of Ushering, Greeting, the Welcome Center, and the Communion, within which approximately 120 serve the Lord. He has also been elected to serve on various boards and committees within the church. Vernon J. Frank has a B.A. and M.A. along with additional advanced studies at a number of institutions, and is a graduate of a threeyear Bible study. He has been engaged in the teaching profession, home construction, and is currently a real estate broker and owns several businesses. He and Connie have three children and nine grandchildren.
