Updated Edition. NEW SCENES, PERIOD RECIPE, AND A READER'S REGENCY GLOSSARYBeatrice Forsythe is ready for romance. If only it didn't mean having to choose between following her head or her heart...What are wealthy sisters with country estates for, if not to help younger sisters marry well? Such is Beatrice's thought when she arrives at her sister's elegant country house for a prolonged visit. Her expectations rise when two young men, both handsome and eligible, arrive on the scene. In short order, the right man to fulfill her dreams seems obvious. But can she resist the allure of earthly comforts and hold out for real love?Enchanting. Jane Austen Lite. The language rings of Jane Austen, yet is much friendlier to the modern reader.DINA SLEIMAN, Author of DauntlessDelightful Read. So Jane Austenesque! Burkard really knows her period and has a talent for making the characters sound like they are from the era.RUTH AXTELL MORREN, Author, The Making of a GentlemanNew Favorite Author. Linore Rose Burkard won a place on my list of new favorite authors with this book. It's a delightful story, wellresearched, and packed with tongueincheek humor that puts the reader in the head of the author as the narrator.MICHELLE RAYBURN, speaker and writerA StandAlone Story to Love. "This is book 3 in the series, but you don't need the other two to fall in love with this story. Burkard has an amazing talent to write a book with just enough details to get the stories that happened before without spoiling them if you want to go back and read them. If you have read the other two you'll be pleasantly surprised that there isn't a ton of repetition of what you already know...The Country House Courtship is pure delight."DIANA LESIRE BRANDMEYER, Author of Hearts on the RoadDon't Miss This One! Linore Rose Burkard once again delivers a Regency romance that all Jane Austen fans will love. Her richly described scenes and welldeveloped characters transport the reader into 1818 England. ..Wonderful story with very likeable characters. This is an emotional pageturner that is well suited for book club discussion groups as well as an enjoyable personal read with a good cup of English tea. Don't miss this one!"SANDI ANDREWS, Book Club CoordinatorUplifting Romance, Adventure and Mystery. The values and morals of the main characters are very refreshing. I feel as comfortable for my young teen daughter to read this as I am for my setinherways grandmother. I recommend this book to fans that enjoy Jane Austen and the Regency time period...Well done, Linore!KELLI GLESIGEFor lovers of Regency romance, this is a story that will warm your heart.www.IDEALINHOPE.COMI didn't really like this book when I first started, but really, really liked it by the time I ended it. I didn't want it to end. ...Beatrice was really annoying. And I never liked Mr. O'Brien. Two very annoying characters so how would I get through this book? I almost gave up... but I'm glad I didn't. They are annoying because well, some people just are (but never moi), and they grow and quickly I forgot how much I really didn't want this story to be about Beatrice. The book is funny and even smacks a little of one of my fav Regency period authors named Georgette Heyer. She was fantastic with quirks and had brilliant humor, and this book felt similar to her style.KINDLE CUSTOMER
