The content of this book has been inspired by the need to provide credible information on Traditional African cultural and religious practices. Such information is necessary today as the Church in Africa steps out in an effort to promote true and authentic Christian values, among African cultures enlightened and inspired by the gospel values. This book indicates that despite decades of evangelization, a number of African Christians still found themselves retreating back to their traditional ways of confronting crisis situations. On the basis of the findings of the study, the author recommends that the Church considers introducing African studies in all her institutions with the view of preparing future agents of evangelization. The book concludes by emphasizing that the Church comes to terms with the current reality of Christian dualism manifested in their involvement with diviners. This reality should stir in the mind of the Church the desire to work towards a more integrated Christian faith by trying to understand the peoples world view and encouraging the insertion of authentic African values into the Christian message for a more profound Christian living.
