About the Author Ken Orchard pilots an EMS helicopter and practices medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. The Chicago native penned The Emerald Bear after his daughter, Jamie, requested that he write her a story. The Emerald Bear is his first work about the mysterious land of Ursanor.
