The Endeavour Mission Sts61: Fixing The Hubble Space Telescope (Space Missions),New
Delivery time: 8-12 business days (International)
Product Description In this book, students will follow the space mechanics of Endeavour Mission STS61 as they head to space to fix the Hubble Space Telescope. After releasing the Hubble into space in 199, scientists found that a tiny mismeasurement in one of the mirrors and other equipment problems caused the pictures the Hubble sent down to Earth to be fuzzy. In 1993, the seven astronauts of Mission STS61 rode the Endeavour into space, 'captured' the Hubble in its payload bay, and made the necessary repairs. Review Series Review This new series takes its readers on a historical journey back in time to experience what it was like for various voyages into space. Science teachers will be thrilled to see this new series on display in the library media center. Recommended. Library Talk
