Forest, a red fox who lives in the nearby woods, makes friends with a human boy named Woody. Woody leaves popcorn for Forest on a stump every afternoon. Forest visits Woody every day at 4 o'clock until one day he doesn't, or so Woody thinks. Woody is worried about his friend and goes off in search of Forest.
