The character of Holly Golightly in Truman Capotes Breakfast at Tiffanys is said to have been modeled after Dorian Leigh Parker. She became the first Revlon Girl and star model of the 1952 Fire and Ice campaign, which made advertising history. She went to Paris to open the first modeling agency in Europe, where she discovered the greats Twiggy, Verushka, Wilhemina. And when she gave up her agency, she opened her own restaurant outside Paris. She divorced and remarried four times including a Spanish marquis, Alfonso Cabeza de Vaca. She jetsetted with the likes of Irving Lazar, movie mogul Sam Spiegel, Emilio Pucci, Buddy Rich, Coco Chanel, Diana Vreeland, Richard Avedon, Huntington Hartford, Harry Belafonte, Charlie Chaplin, and of course Charles Revson However, this is not just a story of glitter and romance, but the story of a woman struggling with her sons drug addiction and her own grief when he commits suicide; with the threat of business failure and rejection by her former friends and associates.
