I honestly found the content super valuable, especially regarding cognitive development. However, some sections felt overly academic and hard to digest. A little more practical application would have been appreciated. Still a solid resource!

Great insights, but not for casual readers
I picked this up hoping it would be light reading, but it’s clearly targeted at professionals in child development. Some parts were informative, but I struggled with the jargon. Might be better suited for academics than for parents like me.

Essential guide for understanding media impacts
The Handbook of Children, Media, and Development is a well-researched guide! I found the chapters on digital media particularly enlightening. It definitely helps frame conversations around screen time in a thoughtful way. I’m glad I added it to my library!
