I bought this for my 7-year-old, and while the story is endearing, it felt a bit long at times. There are some parts where I had to summarize to keep my child's attention. The historical context is interesting, but I wish it was a little more engaging for kids. Still, it's a nice addition to our home library!

A wonderful story for young readers
The Journey That Saved Curious George is such a charming book! My kids loved it, and it really captures the adventurous spirit of Margret and H.A. Rey during wartime. The illustrations are beautiful and the storytelling is simple enough for young readers to understand and enjoy. I'm glad to have this in our collection!

Came damaged, but still a good read
I wanted to gift this book to my niece, but it arrived with a dented cover, which was disappointing. However, the story itself is quite touching and offers a great lesson about resilience. I decided to keep it and hope the next one arrives in better shape!
