Larson was born in Glasgow, Scotland. At age six, she immigrated with her family to Victoria, BC, Canada, and at age twelve, to Oakland, CA. She graduated from Oakland Technical High School and received her B.A. in Social Welfare from the University of CA, Berkeley, during the wild sixties. While raising her children, she went back to school and earned her M.Ed. in Pastoral Counseling from the Univeristy of Puget Sound, Tacoma, WA. For over twentyfive years, she has worked as a Pastoral Counselor and Psychotherapist, currently maintaining a small private practice from her home office. Through the years, she has done extensive training and work in trauma healing, including Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly Multiple Personality Disorder). She specializes in trauma recovery, life transitions, older women's issues, and spiritual growth. Her life's purpose is to be a healing presence in the world. In addition to years of journaling her spiritual journey and writing poetry, she has written newspaper articles, newsletters, community theater promotions, and a weekly newspaper column for women. THE KINGDOM BEYOND THE SUNSET is her first novel. With her husband, and her beloved wee dog, Archie, she takes daily walks along 'Priscilla's Beach' on Puget Sound and watches the sunsets from her living room window. Her two children and four grandchildren live close enough to visit and are her great delight as well as her favorite audience.
