The Life of Samuel Johnson is such a treasure. It’s part of the Penguin Classics series, and you can really tell. The binding is nice and sturdy, which is great since I plan on re-reading it a lot. Johnson's life is such a fascinating exploration of 18th-century England. You won’t regret diving into this one!

Packaging issues, book arrived dented
I was really looking forward to reading The Life of Samuel Johnson but unfortunately, the packaging arrived damaged and the corners of the book are dented. The content seems interesting, but I’m disappointed with how it looked when it arrived. Hoping for better quality next time.

Beautiful edition but shipping took forever
I love this edition of The Life of Samuel Johnson, really nice cover and the pages feel great! However, it took a lot longer to arrive than expected. If you’re not in a rush, it’s a good choice, but I was a bit frustrated with how long it took. Still, can’t wait to dive into the book!

Good but not my favorite
While I appreciate the effort in this Penguin Classic, I found some parts of Johnson's life a bit dry. The writing is solid, and the cover is beautiful, but I expected a bit more excitement given his life. It’s worth a read if you’re into biographies, just keep your expectations in check.
