The book itself seems interesting, but when it arrived, the cover was slightly damaged, and a few pages were stuck together. I had to peel them apart, which was frustrating. I’m hoping for a replacement, as I want to read it properly!

Interesting but slow in parts
While the book covers some fascinating events, I found some parts dragged on a bit. Gabriele Tadino is a compelling character, but the pacing could've been tighter. Overall, it's still a good read for those into European defense history.

Highly informative but not gripping
I wanted to love this book, and while it provides a lot of valuable insights about Tadino's strategies, the writing style felt a bit dry to me. I appreciate the research that went into it, but I was expecting more excitement.

Couldn't put it down!
'The Man Who Stopped the Sultan' is a riveting narrative! I enjoyed how Tadino's story was woven into the bigger picture of Europe's defense. The author did a fantastic job with the details. I am definitely recommending it to my book club!

A captivating historical read!
I picked up 'The Man Who Stopped the Sultan' on a whim, and it turned out to be an amazing dive into Europe's history. Gabriele Tadino's defense against the Sultan is both thrilling and educational. I couldn't put it down! Definitely worth a read for history buffs!
