This compact work, dealing with the basic issues of the New Testament, is the result of four decades of studying and teaching. The book has an appeal for a student of theology or a general reader taking an interest in the career and significance of Jesus. The author is a distinguished college teacher who held, among others, a Fulbright lectureship at the National University in Athens. He is as versed in Greek as he is in biblical literature. In fact, he is the author of a textbook on the Greek language and has published more than forty articles. The author holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago.
