I was excited to get the 9th edition of this anthology, but I was a little disappointed by some of the omissions. I expected more coverage of contemporary authors. It’s still a solid resource, but it could be more comprehensive. Delivery was also slower than expected, which was annoying.

Great resource for literature classes
I picked up the Norton Anthology of English Literature for my college course, and it’s been incredibly helpful. The 9th edition has a fantastic selection of major authors, making it easy to find pieces for my assignments. It's well-organized, which is a big plus when you're juggling multiple readings.

Good content but heavy to carry
While I really appreciate the depth of the content in this anthology, I have to say it's quite heavy to lug around campus. The 9th edition is packed with great authors, but I wish it was a bit more portable. If you're serious about English lit, though, it’s worth the effort!
