This book was written by Mark Bestmann when he was nine years old. A puppy on each page gives little ones an additional item of interest to enjoy. Imagine all the people a child might desire to become, all with special gifts and talents. An astronaut, a circus clown, a farmer, teacher, firefighter or pianist. Perhaps a war veteran or a loving grandpa. This child realized, however, that most of all Id like to be the only true incredible me! Children portrayed in the book include multicultural and handicapped children in an effort to show that all children are special.

My daughter absolutely loved 'The Only True Incredible Me'! The colors are so bright, and she loves the playful storyline. It's been a hit at our book club meetings, and I’ll definitely be getting more copies!

I thought 'The Only True Incredible Me' had a great premise, but it didn’t quite deliver. The characters felt a bit flat, and I expected more from the storyline. It’s still okay for younger readers, though!
