Honestly, I was hoping for a more straightforward examination of religions. 'The Origins of Religions' got a bit convoluted at times. I ended up skimming some parts. If you're looking for a simple overview, this might not be it.

I enjoyed 'The Origins of Religions', but some sections felt pretty heavy. It’s packed with information, which is great, but I had to really focus to get through some chapters. Still, it’s worth it if you're into religious studies.
