This book is about my grandfather's (A.A. Brierly) involvement in Owens Valley land sales to Los Angeles during the early 1900's. He was born in Bishop, CA in 1884 and lived his entire life there. He worked 65 years for Inyo County (19051970) and was significantly involved with issues regarding land management in Inyo County. This book is much different than others written on the subject of Los Angeles and the Owens Valley as this is a firsthand account from someone who was there, not revisionist history.
