A comprehensive history of the origins, principles, practices, and contributions to Alcoholics Anonymous of A First Century Christian Fellowship (also known as the Oxford Group) of which A.A. was an integral part in the developmental period between 1931 and 1939.

This book has some good points about living sober, but I thought it would be more hands-on. The information is solid, yet I wish it included more practical exercises. Still, it's a decent read if you're looking to understand the AA philosophy better.

Disappointed with the Approach
I had high hopes for this book since it’s from the Oxford Group, but I found it a bit too preachy for my taste. The concepts might work for some, but I didn't connect with the style of writing. Just not for me.

Great Book, Slow Shipping
I really like the content of 'A Design for Living That Works', but the shipping took a bit longer than I anticipated. It was a gift for a family member recovering from addiction. They love it, but I wish it had arrived sooner!
