I found the book compelling overall, but there were sections that dragged a bit. The rise of the American right is super relevant right now, and while the detail is appreciated, I wish it flowed a bit better. Still, it's worth a read if you're interested in political history.

I thought I was getting a straightforward history book, but it felt like the focus was all over the place. Some parts were confusing, and the pacing was uneven. Maybe if you’re a hardcore history fan, this would suit you, but I struggled to stay engaged.
