The poems are beautifully written, but some themes feel a bit outdated for me. Still, I appreciate having this 1870 edition. It’s a great gift for someone into classic literature, but I wish it had more commentary or context about Carew's life.

Disappointing Condition Upon Arrival
I was really looking forward to this collection, but it arrived with a few pages damaged. The binding feels a little cheap for a book of this age, and that took away from the experience. I’d suggest checking condition before purchasing!
