The day of the junior ball has arrived. Octavia is determined to succeed in her plan to find a (fake) boyfriend. However, the ball may turn out to be more than she bargained for. Sil quite literally crashes the party, Derek Nightfellow confronts her to clear up his suspicions, and Countess Reddington is pulling strings to suit her own schemes. Will Octavia be able to meet Rust Byrne, her potential (fake) boyfriend? And if she does, will the meeting have the desired outcome? Whatever challenges this event may throw at her, Octavia must come to terms with her past as Maki and think fast on her feet to keep up with the machinations of others.

This sequel to 'The Princess of Convenient Plot Devices' continues to impress! The humor is quirky and the characters are so much fun. I laughed a lot, and the pacing was just right. Definitely looking forward to the next installment in the series!

Enjoyable but Not as Strong as the First
I just finished 'The Princess of Convenient Plot Devices Vol. 2' and it was okay. I liked the storyline but felt it lacked some of the charm of the first book. Still, it was a fun read and I enjoyed the new character introductions. Just don't expect it to hit the same high notes!

A Fun Read for Light Novel Fans
As a big fan of light novels, 'The Princess of Convenient Plot Devices Vol. 2' did not disappoint! The characters are quirky and the humor is spot on. I couldn't put it down, and the plot twists kept me on my toes. Definitely worth picking up if you liked the first volume!

Not My Cup of Tea
I bought this for my younger sister, thinking she'd love it, but she only found it mildly interesting. The humor didn't land for us, and some parts felt a bit drawn out. It might appeal to others, but it wasn't quite what I expected.
