In our life there are mountains and valleys. The songs of Ascents are a group of fifteen Psalms traditionally sung during the Jewish peoples annual festivals. Ascent means a climb or walk to the summit of a mountain or hill. It is known that while on these travels, Jews sang the songs on their way uphill to the city of Jerusalem. Centered around their Jewish festivals, each Psalm was sung to each of the fifteen steps up to the temple. These inspirations are like an honest journal of the peaks and valleys of life. These Collection of Reflections reflect the journey that everyone of us is on.
