This installment in the Department Q series was pretty good, but it had its slow moments that tested my patience. The story did pick up towards the end, and I enjoyed the insights into the protagonists’ backgrounds. Still, not my favorite from the series.

I really wanted to love this book, but the ending was a letdown for me. It felt like it wrapped up too quickly after all the build-up. I expected more depth and closure. I’ve loved other books by this author, but this one fell short.
