Christian Faith among our first presidents is either ignored or misunderstood. ... Twentyfirst century Christians may see the founders of the nation as devout in the way they are devout; twentyfirst century rationalists may see them as secular as themselves. In this wellwritten, engaging, and handsomely illustrated book, David L. Holmes sets us straight by telling a fascinating tale grounded in the historical record. Richard w. Bailey, University of Michigan; President, Guide of Scholars of the Episcopal Church

I found 'The Religion of the Founding Fathers' to be insightful, particularly on the intertwining of faith and politics. However, there were parts that felt a bit repetitive, which made it hard to stay engaged. Still worth a read if you're into American history!

Disappointing Read, Lacked Depth
I was really excited to read this book but it didn’t meet my expectations. The arguments felt weak and some sections seemed poorly constructed. I wanted more substance about their beliefs and less fluff. Not what I was hoping for!

A Deep Dive into Early American Values
This book really shines a light on the beliefs of the Founding Fathers that shaped the nation. It’s well-researched and provides a unique perspective on how religion influenced their decisions. I’ve learned so much about the historical context, highly engaging read!
