The Bradt travel guide is informative, but I expected more practical tips. While the historical anecdotes are great, some sections left me wanting clearer directions or maps. Still, it's a decent read if you're interested in the stories behind the Thames.

Great for history buffs!
I picked up 'In the Footsteps of the Famous' from Bradt for my walking tour along the Thames. It’s packed with interesting insights and details about the river's history. The layout is easy to follow, and I loved the beautiful illustrations throughout. Totally made my trip more enjoyable!

Not what I hoped for
I was a bit disappointed with this guidebook. It arrived with a dented cover, and parts of it felt outdated. I wanted more practical insights for my day trips along the Thames. It's more of a history book than a travel guide, which might not be for everyone.
