Matara Sri Nanarama olved out of a series of discourses on the 'eighteen Principal insights' that the Venerable Matara Sri Nanarama Mahathera gave in 1981 to the meditating Monks at his monastery, the Nissarana Vanaya Hermitage, in Mitirigala, Sri Lanka. Prepared by a pupil of Ven. Nanarama under his personal guidance, this Book offers the reader an indepth Study of the first seven insights, which form a distinct and self sufficient system known as 'the seven contemplations' (satta anupassana).
