Artist Vicki Payne demystifies all the basic processes of using copper foil, leaded came (where individual pieces of glass are fitted into metal channels), and mosaics; she also provides beautiful patterns for creating useful and decorative items using each of the methods. Illuminating color photos, information on the variety of tools (cutters, grinders, smoothing stones, glass squaring bars) and materials, and detailed instructions for cutting the glass, soldering, and assembling the finished product will start beginners off on this classic craft.
