Product Description For millennia the Terracan have merged with the sky stones, travelling their mysterious paths, searching for the Dreaming Stone and the path back to those who sent them, the alien Cad a Hoi. Then hope comes with the birth of the twin Messiahs. Soon the Terracan's guiding Prophecy will be borne out and the Dreaming Stone's whereabouts known. But, King Vicehorn, believing his empire threatened, pursues the Terracan mercilessly. He attacks their northern settlement and the Messiahs, Dillapan and Tontith, accompanied by the beautiful, enigmatic Coonishinook and her fire brother, Teeka, flee into the unknown and an adventure in which they encounter strange lands, fantastic cities and fabulous creatures. Their lives, loves and loyalties will be torn and tested before the ancient Prophecy leads them to an unbearable truth, the solution of which lies 60,000 years in the future. From the Author The Stone Messiahs Book Two The CircleSixty thousand years have passed since the last fall of stones. The vast knowledge they had brought now lay in the earth, lost and forgotten. An entire era had vanished, the Terracan, the Tovonian Kings, the sky masters of the Tel bi Ree, all gone, their empires fallen to dust, obliterated by the stones and the inevitable attrition of time. Only the four, predicted by the Terracan Prophecy, survive these forgotten millennia, crossing an ocean of time to save a new world from the fate of their own. They must find Cahoia, the Dreaming Stone, so they can speak to the stone builders, the Cad a Hoi, and save the earth from another fall. But there is only one man in this new world that knows anything of their existence or their plight. From the Back Cover The Prophecy was more than just a few hundred lines of doggerel. It was a force that could move the hearts and history of the human race. There was only one thing that it could not do ? and that was fend for itself. About the Author Kit Gleave was born in London in 1948 and enjoyed the cheapest education money could buy. Six weeks after his 15th birthday he was sent to No. 10 Downing Street, not in recognition of his genius but because his first job was handing tools to the guys who hung the doors in the corridors of power. After three years of terminal boredom he quit carpentry and started life afresh. Fortune smiled and he landed the lead role in Duffer, a well received independent movie. This led to stage management with the Quipu theatre, the infamous Angie Bowie Road Show and Crisis Cabaret. But painting was his great passion and after marrying his wife Isobel and moving to the heritage city of Bath he dedicated more and more time to it. Life bloomed in Bath for Kit, with portraits and public art creating an ever widening portfolio until his kidneys suddenly failed in 1981. This prevented Kit from doing much more than survive, his only outlets being books, movies and imagineering for nearly 20 years when he received a successful transplant. Starting afresh yet again he took up writing. In his first fulllength novel Kit tells of a lost human history, one that holds a deeper and more desperate meaning than the mere survival of cause and effect. The first book of the Stone Messiahs, "A Child of Two Worlds", is available now. "Book Two: The Circle" will be with you in the autumn. Excerpt. Reprinted by permission. All rights reserved. Taken from Chapter 1 Fires of the Terracan The giant eagles scream pierced the evening sky as the electric arc snapped from the stones surface and crackled about his beak. The wide fans of the old hunters wings crashed and flurried as he tumbled and twisted up and away from the stones lightning rebuke. Hunger had made him rash. He had known the stones song would bring them, the little fox or the early hare but he also knew it would protect those it beguiled. The vixen did not hear the eagles cry or the crackle that had saved her little life. F
