I enjoyed the diversity of stories in this collection, but some felt a bit predictable. The writing is lovely, and the family dynamics are relatable, just wish for a bit more surprise! Perfect for a casual read on the beach though.

I thought the book would focus more on historical aspects, but instead it’s all about personal stories. It’s well-written, but I was looking for something different. Still, the family themes are lovely and it’s nice for light reading.

I picked this book up for a family reading night, and it did not disappoint! The tales of Mediterranean life are beautifully written and really immerse you in the culture. Each story has a unique charm that kept us engaged throughout. Definitely worth a read!

Disappointing Quality
Unfortunately, my copy arrived with some pages crinkled and the cover was slightly damaged. The stories itself are nice, but the condition I received it in really put a damper on my experience. I expected better for the price.
