Taoist Master Loy ChingYuen wrote The Supreme Way to give his students an understanding of how Chinas three great religious traditions have coexisted for two thousand years. Occasionally breathtaking in its description of the process of higher Taoist meditation, The Supreme Way also delineates Buddhist compassion and Confucian humanism, and shows how these vary from each other and Taoism. Never before translated or published in English, The Supreme Way contains chapters on each tradition.

The Supreme Way's teachings really opened my eyes to the principles of the Southern Mountain Tao. I love how it's structured; each chapter flows into the next, making it easy to absorb the concepts. It’s perfect for anyone looking to deepen their understanding of Taoist philosophy.

Interesting but Slightly Confusing
I found the Inner Teachings intriguing, but some sections felt a bit dense and hard to follow. I appreciate the effort put into conveying these teachings, but I had to reread a few parts to really grasp the ideas. It’s a solid read for those into Taoism, just be ready to take your time with it!

Not What I Expected
I was hoping for more practical applications of the teachings, but it feels quite theoretical. The writing is poetic at times, which I liked, yet it didn’t meet my expectations for practical advice. I think it could discourage readers looking for straightforward guidance. Disappointed, but I’ll still try to finish it.
