While the story is incredible and the message is strong, I wish there was more depth in some sections. It felt a bit rushed in places. Still, the theme of hope in despair is powerful. Definitely glad I read it!

I was really looking forward to this book, but it didn't live up to my expectations. Some of the narrative felt disjointed, and it didn't capture my attention as I hoped. A friend loved it, though, so maybe it’s just not for me!

A Story That Stays With You
I bought this book for my book club and we were all so moved by it. The story of the Olympic hero and his struggles during such a horrific time is incredibly inspiring. It really made us think about resilience and hope. It's definitely a must-read!

Powerful Yet Difficult Read
This book tells an important story, but I found some parts quite heavy. The details of survival were gripping, yet it can be emotionally draining. Still, it's worth reading for its historical significance and the Olympic angle!
