The Thundering Herd is well-written, but I felt like the pacing was a bit off in some parts. The historical details were great, though. It’s a decent read if you like westerns, just not as captivating as I hoped.

I got this for my dad, who loves westerns, and while he appreciated the beautiful cover, he mentioned the plot could've had more depth. Still, he enjoyed the adventure and the classic western feel.
