From the Author My name is Allen Forbes, trying day by day just to get by, I have been writing poetry all my life. Recently I published my first collection, and I continue to write. My poems portray my feelings and thoughts, they are a part of me and I a part of them. Other than my poetry, my life is my family, my wife and children are also a lot of the inspiration for my work. Born in Midland Ontario in 1976 and moving to Brampton Ontario in 1987; Alf got a little taste of small town life and the city life. Mostly on scraps of paper, yet includes several volumes of unpublished poetry. Alf wouldn't be anywhere without his family; Kathryn his wife, along with Aimee, Albert, Allistar and Agnes, his children make up Alf4. We spend our time cleaning parks and serving the Royal Canadian Legion.
