They Thought They Were Free is a gripping exploration of the German experience during WWII. The author captures the complexities of the mindset in a way that resonates today. I bought it for my history-loving dad, and he couldn't put it down!

Interesting but Slow at Times
I found this book to have some really compelling insights, but there were parts that dragged a bit. It’s a deep dive into the psyche of Germans during the Nazi regime which was enlightening, yet not always engaging. Still, worth a read if you're patient!

An Eye-Opener About Conformity
This book opened my eyes to how ordinary people can be swept into authoritarianism. It's written in a way that makes you think deeply about moral choices. I really appreciated the analysis. It's a must-read for anyone interested in psychology and history!

Not What I Expected
I had high hopes for this book based on the reviews, but it didn’t quite live up to them. Some chapters felt repetitive, and I struggled to stay interested. However, the historical context is important. Just wasn't my favorite read.
