First time published with illustrations and photo's, writings the author remembers as: 'The Normal Years' About the Author (Born 1945) Raised in Holt Michigan thru the tranquil fifties and hippie sixties, he enjoyed and captured the slow small town life, country farm days of rural America, which author L.A. Kinney describes as: 'The Normal Years when life was good.' After traveling the western states he enlisted doing four years Air Force Electronics, stationed at Biloxi Miss., Davis Calif., then volunteered for Vietnam. In 2003 retired from Spartan Plastics/AveryDennison Corp., now residing in Wichita, Kansas. Post retirement he remodeled foreclosed properties then worked at Learjet, all the while continuing his love of writing poetry started in 1962, but still only considers himself 'Just a Weekend Poet.' Loves to swim, travel and treasure hunt but feels the very best of life is Christian faith, family time and porch coffee. Larry with wife Evelyn have two sons and one daughter. Two are living, their oldest son died by accident in 1989, they have five grandchildren. L.A. Kinney continues to write in his golden years with a faithbased book scheduled.
