She explores her life prior to her decision to relinquish and documents the emotional and spiritual affects that the lack of knowledge about her sons whereabouts and wellbeing had on her life. She also describes her inner process of spiritual and emotional healing, recounts the obstacles she encountered during her search for her child, and reinforces the commonality of her experiences with those of other relinquishing mothers by referencing research. This book joins the existing literature to reinforce the knowledge of how past adoption practices emotionally damaged relinquishing mothers, while offering hope by testifying how God is more than able restore the most hidden, broken areas of life.
