El objetivo de este libro es profundizar en todo lo que se refiere a la topografa aplicada al replanteo en la obra civil. Para ello se estudian los mtodos de replanteo y los sistemas de clculo de las diversas alineaciones que definen una obra lineal. Gran parte del contenido est destinado al trabajo en obras lineales, que es donde mayor dificultad puede haber en los clculos. No obstante, en el captulo 13 se estudian aspectos geomtricos de diversos tipos de obras. Se mantiene la diferenciacin entre planimetra (captulos 2 a 5) y altimetra (6 a 9), siendo los captulos 8 y 9 los que estudian la seccin transversal para el caso de las carreteras. Se habla tambin en profundidad de las mediciones y del proyecto de una obra de ingeniera.
