I bought this for my daughter who's studying English literature, and she seems to really enjoy it. The translation makes it accessible, and she appreciates the variety of stories included. Just wish the shipping hadn't taken so long!

Disappointing Translation Quality
I found the translation of 'Torn Lace' lacking in some parts; it just didn’t flow like I expected. Some phrases felt off, which took away from the stories' charm. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I hoped for. Wouldn't recommend if you're looking for perfection.

Solid Translation, But Some Stories Dragged
While the book overall is a good read, a few stories felt a bit slow and could’ve used tighter editing. The language is translated well, though, so I appreciate the effort put into it. Not a bad choice for anyone into English literature!
